EAST LANSING — Nick Marsh saw Alessio Milivojevic warming up. The backup quarterback was getting ready to take over the offense as Michigan State football prepared for overtime.

Marsh had no idea if Aidan Chiles — knocked out of the game a few minutes earlier in regulation — was hurt. Then the wide receiver glanced at his sideline again.
