A 40-year-old man was booked on charges after the semi-truck he was driving collided with a passenger who had just left the vehicle, police said.
The man who was hit was pronounced dead at a hospital after the crash, which occurred about 8:40 p.m. Sept. 5 near 4300 North 27 th Avenue, police said.
Detectives learned the driver was repositioning the truck prior to the collision. He remained at the scene, was evaluated for impairment and booked on related charges, according to a release.
