HARRELLS — The Board of Aldermen in the town of Harrells is working to raise money for improvements to the park, with the first big fundraiser, a bingo game, planned for Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m.

The aldermen, Mayor Kimberly Johnson and Town Clerk Cindy Ezzell hammered out the details of the event during their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night.

The bingo fundraiser will be held at 891 Ward Road in Harrells, next to the fire training building. Admission is $20, and includes 15 bingo cards, water and a raffle ticket. Extra cards and daubers will also be on sale. There will be cash prizes, raffles for more prizes and a jackpot up for grabs. The door prizes are being donated by local businesses like Murphy Family Ventures and Clear Run Farms.
