BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Steuben County Sheriff's Office announced its collaborating with Wilmot Cancer Center and UR Medicine to host a mobile mammography van in October, and appointment slots are available now.
Happening Friday, Oct. 17 the Wilmot Cancer Center and UR Medicine partnered with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and are set to bring the 'Mobile Mammography Van' to Bath. The van will be parked at the Steuben County Public Safety Building, located at 7007 Rumsey Street, Ext., the sheriff's office explained.
The van offers women age 40 years old and over, fast, convenient, and high-quality screenings that can detect breast cancer if present, the sheriff's office said. The technology used in the van is the same as the adv
