In the first game of the Kellen Moore era, two reliable veterans delivered for the New Orleans Saints in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals in Sunday's season-opener at the Caesars Superdome.
Running back Alvin Kamara , now in his ninth season as the team's star running back, scored on an 18-yard run around the right side. It was the 1,000th touchdown the Saints have scored in the Caesars Superdome (opened in 1975).
Kamara had fives carries for 38 yards and caught one pass for seven yards.
