An early Sunday fire has burned four commercial buildings in Minneapolis.

According to Minneapolis Fire Department, the blaze erupted in a two-story commercial building in the 1500 block of Central Avenue Northeast around 4:30 a.m., with firefighters utilizing aerial water towers and hose lines with high-flow nozzles to attack the flames.

The fire went from a second-alarm blaze to a three-alarm fire, with the fire spreading to three nearby commercial buildings, including "several" buildings suffering partial collapses.

Xcel Energy shut down power lines in the area, with the fire department saying the lines were "being impinged upon by the fire" and were "blocking access to the fire building.
