SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio. (WSAZ) - The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after making bomb threats to two school districts in the county.

Investigators said 26-year-old Brian Sampson is charged with Terroristic Threats, third-degree felony, and Inducing Panic, a second-degree felony.

In a release last Friday, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call from the Federal Bureau of Investigation saying that Minford and Wheelersburg School Districts may be receiving bomb threats.

The release goes on to say, “both Minford and Wheelersburg School Districts contacted the Sheriff’s Office indicating that they had received threats, which were posted on Facebook. Both school districts have Deputies working as School Resource Officers.”
