Billy Porter recovering from 'serious case' of sepsis as Broadway's 'Cabaret' sets early closing date

Broadway’s revival of “Cabaret” is closing early as star Billy Porter withdraws from the show while recovering from sepsis. Porter was slated to perform as the Emcee for 13 weeks until Oct. 19, opposite Marisha Wallace as Sally Bowles. The production has now set its final performance date for Sept. 21.
