The New Orleans Saints lost to the Arizona Cardinals 20-13 on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome. Here's what we learned from the game:

They didn't bow down

The Saints were six-point underdogs and played much of the game without injured starters Chase Young, Taliese Fuaga and Trevor Penning, but they showed admirable grit and made a game of it down the stretch.

Juwan Johnson nearly came down with a spectacular touchdown catch in the final seconds, but he lost the ball after crashing to the turf in the end zone. It would have been one of the great catches in franchise history if he had come down with the potential game-tying score.

After falling behind 20-10 early in the third quarter, they made a series of key plays to pull back into contention.
