ELDORADO, Ill. (WSIL) -- Illinois State Police are assisting the Eldorado Police Department in a death investigation on Sunday.

Illinois State Police said the incident happened at around 5:06 a.m. on September 7, 2025, at Benton Street and 1st Street in Eldorado.

Authorities have not released further details as the investigation remains active.

The Eldorado Police Department also said this is an open investigation.
