SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- There will be a lane closure planned for Interstate 690 Westbound in the City of Syracuse, Onondaga County.

The New York State Department of Transportation wants you to know that Interstate 690 westbound will be reduced to one lane between Exit 14 (Teall Ave) and Exit 13 (Townsend St/Downtown) in the City of Syracuse, Onondaga County, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., daily, beginning Monday, September 8, through Friday, September 12, to facilitate bridge work as part of the Interstate 81 Viaduct Project.

Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.

Drivers are urged to slow down and drive the speed limit in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Receiving two or more speeding violations in a work zone
