The US Open organisers have revealed that the commencement of Sunday's men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner has been delayed due to heightened security measures for those entering Arthur Ashe Stadium. Security gates akin to those at airports have been installed at the main showcourt in anticipation of President Donald Trump's visit.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz were meant to take to the court at 2pm local time (7pm UK) but the start time was pushed back by half an hour. Organisers announced the news on social media roughly 25 minutes before the final was initially meant to start.
