WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) -- Warrick County Emergency Management addressed concerns from the public regarding emergency alerts from Saturday's chemical fire during a news conference on Sunday.

During the conference, EMA Director Matthew Goebel said there was an issue with the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, and some residents were not notified of the shelter in place alert.

Goebel went on to say it was determined there was an issue with the radius of the alert, and their IT department has fixed the issue.

Warrick County EMA is working with the county commissioners to start the process of declaring a local public health emergency.
