A Selma man has been struck and killed on U.S. Highway 80.

Alabama State Troopers say 41-year-old Michael Hatfield was in the road when he was hit. State troopers say he was first hit by an unknown vehicle, then by several other vehicles.

Hatfield’s body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences where his identity was confirmed.

The crash happened at around 10PM on Monday, August 25, though information is just now being released.

It happened about three miles east of Selma.
