ST. PAUL — Sophie Thompson and Ana Cecilia Walker scored goals and keeper Rylee Truslow stopped seven shots as Minnesota State Moorhead beat Nebraska-Kearney 2-0 on Sunday in nonconference women's soccer at Sea Foam Stadium.
Thompson scored in the 37th minute and Walker added her goal in the 74th minute of play.
Lopers keeper Susie Bovaird was issued a red card at the 20-minute mark after running into MSUM's Brooklyn Broderick. Backup keeper Madelyn Schaffert had three saves and allowed both goals in her 70 minutes.
The Dragons (1-0-1) host Minnesota-Crookston at 3 p.m. Friday.
