(FOX40.COM) — Elk Grove High School released a letter to parents on Thursday announcing the implementation of new measures after being notified of concerning locker room behavior from student-athletes.

"We are writing to inform you of a matter that requires our collective attention and action. It has come to our attention that a group of student-athletes have engaged in behaviors that do not align with the standards of conduct and character we uphold at Elk Grove High School," the letter said. "We take these concerns seriously and are committed to ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the locker room."
