SARATOGA SPRINGS — Alleging “negligent” and “discriminatory” conduct in violation of his constitutional rights, former Saratoga Springs DPW Commissioner Jason Golub has filed a Notice of Claim signaling he intends to pursue a series of claims against the city of Saratoga Springs. A Notice of Claim is a prerequisite to commencing a lawsuit against a local government for damages.
The nature of the filing alleges Golub was “intentionally and maliciously investigated” by the city police department “at the behest of” Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll. The contention is in connection with charges that accused Golub of allowing a city employee to come to a property he owned in December 2023 to unclog a pipe and use city-owned Green Gobbler drain cleaner to resolve the issue.
