Brightmoor Hospice held its annual First Responder Appreciation Lunch Friday, Sept. 5 at the Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services Training Center in Riverdale. “We’re incredibly grateful to Brightmoor Hospice…,” a statement from the local fire department read. "Their generosity and thoughtfulness mean so much to our public safety community. Engine crews rotated through for a delicious lunch, great company, and some awesome giveaways — and every county public safety employee (including administration and civilian staff) was invited to share in the appreciation. It’s gestures like these that remind us how deeply our community values its first responders.” Here are some scenes from the lunch.
