MONROE TOWNSHIP — One woman from Maryland was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for suspected minor injuries following a crash involving a tanker truck and a car on Routes 11/15 in Monroe Township on Sunday afternoon.

State police at Selinsgrove said the crash happened at 4:11 p.m. in the southbound lane of North Susquehanna Trail near the Sunset Skating Rink.

Diana Zayver, of Frederick, Md., was driving a Toyota Camry in the left lane when she merged into the right travel lane. The car struck a tanker truck hauling motor oil driven by Gunereet Brar, of Ontario, Canada, police said.

Zayver became entrapped in the car and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Brar was not injured, police said.
