Containment of the Pyrite Fire, which burned just over 550 acres in mountainous terrain in Jurupa Valley and briefly prompted evacuation orders followed by warnings, has grown to 20% and all remaining evacuation warnings were lifted, officials said Sunday.

That announcement was made by Riverside County Fire Department officials at 5:12 p.m. Sunday as firefighters continued to build containment lines and patrolled for hot spots.

Residents were asked to use caution in the area while firefighters continued their work.
