ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) -- Washington Commanders fans left the Crystal City Sports Pub feeling good following their team's season-opening win at home Sunday against NFC division rival, the New York Giants.

"I'm ecstatic. Let's go, Commanders," shouted Ricky Carrero following Washington's 21-6 victory.

Many fans arrived well before the 1 p.m. kickoff to get a good seat.

"They're looking really good, better than I was expecting for game one," said Alicia Reynolds.

The confidence fans feel about their team is primarily due to one player.

"Oh, Jayden Daniels, our quarterback, absolutely," Carrero explained.

Some fans believe this year's team is the best they've seen in more than a decade due to the all-around balance the Commanders have.
