A plan is being made to boost rural hospitals and health care in New Hampshire in the wake of major cuts to Medicaid in the federal budget.
Gov. Kelly Ayotte said she is working to maximize New Hampshire's share of new federal funds for rural parts of the state.
Half a billion dollars is on the table for rural health care in New Hampshire over the next five years. Ayotte held a summit in Littleton on Thursday to develop a plan to obtain every bit of that federal funding. How much New Hampshire gets will ultimately be decided by the Trump Administration.
