Sunday Slants will be a weekly feature after North Dakota State games to focus on four big points (or downs) from the prior day’s game.

The first edition focuses on NDSU’s 59-3 win over Tennessee State, where the Bison scored 45 points in the first half, the second-most in the Division I era, trailing only a 49-point outburst that NDSU put up against Robert Morris in 2017.

1st down - Barika Kpeenu looks like a different running back this year. The West Fargo Sheyenne product has waited to be the guy and looks the part so far. Kpeenu is running hard and not going backwards on any runs. He’s had 22 carries so far this year and not lost any yardage. He’s breaking tackles, which has been common for all of the backs so far this year.
