BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Joy filled the streets of Burlington Sunday for the annual Pride Parade and Festival.

Smiling faces held up Pride flags, and signs spreading a message to love all.

“Have a good time, get together, make each other smile, be colorful, be joyful, it’s awesome,” Big Hartman of the Vt. Human Rights Commission said.

Hartman said that they’re happy with how many people came out.

“I mean this is what it’s all about celebrating our diversity celebrating Queer joy and liberation for us all these kinds of events, you really see the community come out,” Hartman said.

Will Roy came with his friends for the first time, but went to Pride in New York earlier in the year. He says Burlington ranks not too bad against the big city.
