Airdrie fighter Paul Craig has announced his retirement after suffering a knockout to Modestas Bukauskas at UFC Paris on Saturday night.
The 37-year-old was knocked out at the end of the first round by his Lithuania rival with just one second remaining.
Bukauskas delivered a devastating elbow to end the contest, with Craig looking dazed. The elbow drew blood and after being assessed by doctors, the fight was called in Bukauskas' favour.
Addressing the crowd after deciding to hang up his gloves, Craig said: "Thank you guys, this is why I do this.
"This sport, the young eat the old and I'm old. Thank you for the memories."
