The County of Huron has received a grant that will help with the surveillance and mitigation of invasive species in the region.

The county is getting $10,000 in an All Risk Municipal Grant from LAS and Intact Public Entities that will go toward the purchase of a drone that will be used in giant hogweed management.

Derry Wallis, Climate Change and Energy Specialist, made a presentation to council on Wednesday about the funding agreement, which was accepted by county council.
