Four men have been arrested after cops seized more than 30,000 suspected illegal cigarettes in a Scots town.
The cops also recovered 15kg of rolling tobacco and £8,000 cash following the raids in Dumfries .
Four men – aged 24, 28, 28 and 31 – have been arrested and charged following the searches of a property in the town’s High Street on Friday, September 5.
They are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date
The latest discovery comes on the back of £3.5 million worth of illegal tobacco being recovered from properties in Dumfries town centre in July.
Searches were carried out by police and the council’s trading standards team as part of Operation Equalize, run by Home Office immigration enforcement teams in a bid to crack down on riders working illegally fo
