Dumfries and Galloway is to receive a share of £6.3 million to increase electric vehicle charging points. ‌

It is one of eight council areas to receive the cash from the Scottish Government’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund. ‌

The South of Scotland Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund will see £6.3 million spent on installing more than 1,770 public charge points across the eight council areas. ‌
