EXCLUSIVE: Essential Film Group acquires sales rights to the action thriller Unarmed , starring Nicholas Chimera (Name the Demon), Tzi Ma (Mulan, Rush Hour), Kirk Acevedo (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), and Martin Kove (Cobra Kai).

The film has just wrapped production in Chicago, Illinois.

Chimera plays Cole “Pretty Boy” Thomas, a rising MMA star who is unwittingly drawn into a violent criminal world. When a nightclub arms deal goes wrong and his sister is shot, Cole must choose a path: Walk away and let the violence spread….or fight back. Unarmed, outnumbered, and against impossible odds.
