Through Dec. 5, fans can trade a pint of blood for a cool T-shirt and help the university score points.

The "We Give Blood Drive" is a competition among the Big Ten’s 18 schools in which the one that collects the most blood wins a $1 million from sponsor Abbott to advance student or community health.

Why donate my blood now?

To increase the nation’s low supply for one. Plus you can score a limited-edition T-shirt in exchange for a pint. While supplies last, each donor can receive a red Homefield T-shirt that says “Hoosiers Give Blood” on the front. Homefield has designed shirts for all the universities in the contest.
