Multiple flood warnings were put in place for four areas of Scotland after this weekend's intense rainfall and strong winds. And yet more autumnal weather is to follow for the rest of this week, according to the Met Office. ‌

While Scots may have just experienced the hottest summer on record, we've seen increasingly cooler and wetter weather since the start of meteorological autumn on September 1. ‌

In fact, conditions from last weekend (September 6 - September 7) has been so severe that the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) was forced to issue four flood warnings and one flood alert for Scotland . And the gloomy weather is to only continue into this week, as the Met Office has warned of 'blustery showers and thunder' for the coming days. ‌
