FITCHBURG, Wis. (WMTV) -The first day of fall may still be a few weeks out, but for many farms across Wisconsin, festivities kick off Labor Day weekend.
With cooler temperatures in the forecast, families have been flocking to seasonal staples including pumpkin patches and apple orchards.
Eplegaarden in Fitchburg made the transition to fall early September. Across 100+ acres, farm-goers can indulge in apple picking, pick-your-own flowers, farm-fresh honey, apple cider, hard cider, cider donuts, tomatoes and friendly goats!
People can pick the perfect pumpkin from patches on the grounds as well.
Eplegaarden is open Monday through Thursday from 9a.m. to 1p.m. On the weekend farm hours run 9a.m. to 5p.m.
