HAMPTON — A new lawsuit stemming from a woman’s fall at Hampton Beach has reignited debate over who bears responsibility for maintaining the sidewalks along Ocean Boulevard.

Bonnie Hill, an Enfield resident, was visiting Hampton Beach on May 27, 2023, when she allegedly tripped on a broken section of sidewalk, according to a suit filed May 22 in Rockingham Superior Court . The complaint claims Hill was forced to navigate the damaged sidewalk around merchandise placed outside Impressions Beachwear at 225 Ocean Blvd. , at the corner of B Street and Ocean Boulevard.
