A police officer pretended to be a paedophile hunter and demanded £3,500 from a sex offences suspect in her blackmail plot.
PC Marie Thompson tried to blackmail a man who was arrested for possessing indecent images of children.
The 29-year-old posed as a paedophile hunter and threatened to publicise his arrest unless he gave up the cash.
She claimed the money was needed to 'ensure that information remains between you and us'.
Thompson, who remains suspended from the force, admitted blackmail and perverting the course of justice at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday, September 4.
