$5 McMuffin, $8 Big Mac meals hit McDonald's menus nationwide

Customers looking for extra value when eating out will soon notice new offerings at McDonald's .

Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, the fast food chain is adding limited-time Extra Value Meals to its offerings , including an $8 Big Mac meal that comes with medium fries and a medium soft drink, and a $5 Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal that comes with hash browns and a small coffee. Both meals will be available nationwide.
