(KFVS) - An upper-level, high-pressure system will be developing right over the middle of the country this week, bringing us dry and increasingly warm to hot weather.

Brian Alworth says humidity levels will be low to start the week, but will creep up a bit by the end of the week.

In the shorter term, today will be a sunny and pleasant day, with afternoon high temps of about 76 to 82, and light northeast breezes.

Tonight will be clear and relatively cool once again, with lows in the 40s and 50s.

Tuesday will remain sunny, but with light winds and highs of about 80 to 85.
