While Florida State fans reveled on the field following their team’s Week 1 win over Alabama football at Doak Campbell Stadium, the Crimson Tide was doing some soul-searching. What was supposed to be a walkover win against an overmatched opponent had just turned into a nightmare, one that led to the entire nation questioning UA’s mettle.

Kalen DeBoer hypothesized that a switch flipped in that visitor’s locker room after the loss, an attitude that carried over onto the plane ride home. On Saturday, UA went looking for blood against Louisiana-Monroe and won 73-0 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
