Lady Gaga redefined multitasking on Sunday night.

The pop superstar made a quick, but memorable, appearance at the 2025 MTV VMAs , where she snagged one of the evening’s biggest honors: Artist of the Year. After delivering a heartfelt acceptance speech for the coveted award, Gaga had somewhere else to be.

With 11 additional nominations under her belt for the night, one would think she’d stick around for the rest of the show. Instead, the “Abracadabra” singer had other plans: She was due across town at Madison Square Garden for a concert as part of her popular "Mayhem Ball" tour .
