Intruders attack man and his dog during violent burglary in Hartcliffe

A man and a dog were left badly injured and requiring treatment following a violent burglary in Hartcliffe on Saturday night, September 6.

The incident was reported at around 11.37pm on William Jessop Way, in Hartcliffe, where two burglars had forced their way into a flat .

BristolLive understands that no arrests have yet been made and the attackers remain at large.

The occupant of the flat was assaulted, and was found by police officers in the road outside the property with cuts to his hand, arm and face.

The ambulance service attended and the man was taken to hospital, where he remains with injuries that are said to be serious, but not life-threatening or life-changing.
