FERGUSON, Mo. ( KMOV /Gray News) — A witness and friend of Michael Brown, who was shot and killed by police in 2014, has died.

Dorian Johnson was shot and killed Sunday in Ferguson, Missouri, according to police.

Johnson, 33, was known for being with Brown when he was shot and killed by police on Aug. 9, 2014.

Johnson was shot around 8:30 a.m. and was taken to a hospital, where he died.

One person was taken into custody.
