EXCLUSIVE: Bleecker Street is teaming with FOX Entertainment Studios on the U.S. release of Amy Wang ’s directorial debut Slanted , which premiered at SXSW and won the Grand Jury Prize in the Narrative Feature Competition. A 2026 theatrical release is currently being planned.

The satire, sci-fi, and body horror movie follows a Chinese-American teenager (Shirley Chen), who, feeling insecure about her race, takes a drastic step that causes a chain reaction throughout her own and her family’s lives.
