Guilford County has named an interim manager for the Family Justice Center following the departure of longtime Director Catherine Johnson.

Sonya Desai, who has served as the site manager for the center’s Greensboro location since 2018, will serve as the head of the agency for the time being, according to a release from the county.

Desai has been with the center since it began operations a decade ago. She started out as a frontline navigator and then worked as a coordinator before becoming the site manager, according to the county.
