Thor, the 36-year-old Icelandic who played ‘The Mountain’ in five series of Game of Thrones, broke the Deadlift World Record in Birmingham over the weekend. ‌

The 6ft 9 giant lifted 510kg in the Mutant World Deadlift Championship - breaking his own 505kg record set earlier this year. Thor was cheered on by the 7,000 strong crowd at the Utilita Arena and thousands more watching around the world on the official livestream. ‌
