TOOELE — A Tooele man arrested Saturday for allegedly hitting two people, killing one, while driving under the influence, has been charged.

Bryce Tanner Fivas, 36, was charged on Monday in 3rd District Court with automobile homicide, a second-degree felony; reckless endangerment, a class A misdemeanor; and DUI, a class B misdemeanor.

Tooele police were called to an auto-pedestrian crash Saturday evening at 2400 N. Main, where a victim was dead in the road. A second victim was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, according to a police booking affidavit.

"Mr. Fivas stated that he thought he may have hit someone while driving north on Main Street," the affidavit states. The man's vehicle was on fire on the opposite side of the road.
