Nearly three decades after Tupac Shakur ’s infamous diss track “Hit ’Em Up” shook the Hip-Hop world, Mobb Deep ’s Havoc is shedding new light on why he believes he and his late groupmate Prodigy were targeted.

During a candid conversation on Drink Champs , the Queensbridge legend speculated that a combination of misunderstood lyrics and the height of coastal rap rivalries contributed to the tension between Mobb Deep and Tupac.
