JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) - Jones County deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Monday morning.

The shooting occurred in the 500 block of Graves Road on September 8, 2025. Deputies said the victim was transported to South Central Regional Medical Center (SCRMC) in Laurel where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators said a woman was detained for questioning in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
