The 2025 Toronto International Film Festival kicked off on Sept. 4 and concludes Sept. 14. Premieres include Rian Johnson’s latest “Knives Out” film, “Wake Up Dead Man,” Channing Tatum’s new vehicle, “Roofman,” and the documentary “John Candy: I Like Me.”

The annual festival is a stop for awards season hopefuls, vying for distribution, recognition and word-of-mouth hype ahead of the Golden Globes, Academy Awards and more come winter 2025 and 2026.
