Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent threatened to “punch” housing finance chief Bill Pulte for badmouthing him to President Donald Trump during a blistering profanity-laced clash witnessed by dozens at a private dinner in Washington.

The confrontation unfolded during cocktail hour at the Executive Branch club in Georgetown where Trump allies gathered for a podcaster’s birthday celebration and the venue’s inaugural dinner, Politico reported .
