SWIFT CURRENT — Romana Didulo, who calls herself the "Queen of Canada," is representing herself at a bail hearing today in southern Saskatchewan. The 50-year-old faces charges for breaching a court order and attempting to intimidate a participant in the justice system. A publication ban restricts the release of details from the hearing.

Didulo was among 16 individuals arrested last week at a decommissioned school that had been converted into a compound in Richmound, located west of Regina. In 2023, Didulo and some followers from her so-called "Kingdom of Canada" established the compound, which has been linked to various conspiracy theories.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) conducted a search of the site, resulting in the seizure of 13 imitation semi-automatic handguns, ammunition, and electronic devices. Additionally, health officials have deemed parts of the building unfit for human habitation, leading to a prohibition on anyone living there.
