President Donald Trump has unveiled a new order to protect the right to prayer in US public schools.

Trump announced the new guidance to come from the Department of Education while speaking at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, on Monday morning.

He claimed that religious liberty in public schools faces ‘grave threats’.

‘For most of our country’s history, the Bible was found in every classroom in the nation, yet in many schools today students are instead indoctrinated with anti-religious propaganda and some are punished for their religious beliefs,’ said Trump. ‘Very, very strongly punished. It is ridiculous.’
